On 13 August 2009 he signed for Hajduk Split with his brother Anas Sharbini. He struggle to impose himself at the club and rode the bench for most of the 2009-10 and 2010-11 season.
With new signing Ivan 'Giga' Vukovic joining Hajduk in the summer of 2011, Ahmad found himself as the third choice striker for the upcoming 2011-12 season. Due to injuries to both Ivan Vuković and Ante Vukušić, Ahmad played as a lone striker for a period of games. He scored two goals in a 4-0 win against NK Zagreb and earned much praise due to his consistent hard work.
